Peel and Cut the Apples. You can do this however you want. I like to peel the apple then use an apple slicer and cut each apple wedge into about 4 bite sized pieces. Lots of people will just leave the wedges as is but I like bit sized pieces as it gives a better eating experience.
Add the flour, white sugar, lemon juice and flour to the apples. Toss or Stir to coat.
Crumble
Combine butter, flour, and cinnamon in a bowl. Using a pastry cutter, cut the butter into the flour until you get coarse crumbs. Add in the Rolled out and stir to combine.
Assembly
To a greased 8x8 dish pan, 2.5 Qt or 2.3 L casserole dish add the apple mixture. Now add the Crumble on top. Press down mixture so it is flat on the top.
Bake
Bake at 350°F for 50-60 Minutes until the apples are tender. Serve warm or cold. Goes best with a scoop of vanilla ice cream while writing a review for this recipe. 😋
Notes
If you want to make this the most Canadian Dessert you've ever seen. Use Maple syrup instead of sugar in the apple. Sprinkle the top with maple Sugar. Sing Oh Canada while serving it. hahaha.
