Basic doesn't have to be boring with this recipe you will achieve Crispy Oven baked Chicken Thighs that are juicy and perfectly seasoned. Skin on chicken thighs are tossed in oil and a blend of herbs and spices then baked.
2TablespoonsCanola Oilor your favourite high smoke point cooking oil
Spice Blend
2TeaspoonsTable Salt
1TeaspoonBlack Pepper
1TeaspoonSmoked Paprika
2TeaspoonsGarlic Powder
2TeaspoonsOnion Powder
2Teaspoons Italian Seasoningor ½ Teaspoon of each: Parsley, thyme, oregano and Basil.
Instructions
Prep
Preheat oven to 400°F
Pat any moisture off of the surface of the chicken with paper towel.
Prepare a baking sheet. Conventional oven (no fan)- line a sheet pan with a silicone liner, tin foil or parchment paper. Convection Oven (fan) - line a sheet pan with a silicone liner, tin foil or parchment paper and then place a grate over top of it so that the air can circulate around the chicken
Season
Place Chicken In a large bowl. Add all of the oil and spice blend. Toss until every piece of chicken is evenly coated.
Place the chicken on prepared sheet pan, taking care not to crowd the pan
Bake
Bake for 35-45 minutes. Chicken is safe to eat when it has reached an internal temperature of 165°F or greater.
