I love using meatballs in dishes, from sweet and sour meatballs to spaghetti with meatballs. Having premade Meatballs in the freezer is such a time saver, and you will always thank yourself for having them. This meatball recipe is flavorful but universal in its seasoning so that these Meatballs can be used in various cuisines.

    Ingredients

Ground beef and ground pork – We love this combination as it's super flavorful and the pork keeps the meatballs extra moist. 😀

Breadcrumbs – We use regular breadcrumbs but seasoned breadcrumbs also work well and you can also use panko bread crumbs or if you're in a pinch crushed soda cracker or quick oats. I really do prefer breadcrumbs with this recipe though.

Milk – Any percentage works to add moisture to the meatballs. Yes you can use a neutral-tasting milk substitute if you have milk intolerance.

Garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and chilli flakes – These add so much flavour and will take your meatballs from meh to MMM.

How long do Meatballs last in the freezer?

You can keep precooked meatballs in the freezer for at least 3 months in a Ziploc bag. I am sure you can keep them longer if you were to vacuum seal them. I find that I have used my meatballs up well before the three-month mark so I have never bothered to vacuum seal them.

    Ingredients

    • 1 Pound Lean Ground Beef
    • 1 Pound Lean Ground Pork
    • 1 Cup Breadcrumbs
    • ½ Cup Milk
    • 1 Teaspoon Salt
    • 1 Teaspoon Pepper
    • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
    • 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
    • ½ Teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Optional

    Instructions

    • Preheat your oven to 400 Degrees Fharenheit. Line a baking sheet with aluminium foil or parchment papaer. If you have a convection oven (Fan) place a wire rack over the lined sheet. This will allow the air to circulate around the meatballs and you wont have to turn them over half way through baking.
    • Mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl. Form the meat into 1½ inch balls. (medium sized cookie scoop) Placce the balls on your prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through. If you are using a conventional oven (no fan) you can turn the meat balls over halfway through cooking.
    • To Freeze: Allow to cool down and then you can pop them in the freezer while still on the tray and then once frozen, place them in a Ziploc freezer bag or other freezer container. If you don't have room for the baking sheet in your freezer you can let them cool down on the baking sheet and then put them directly into your bag or container and freeze them. With this method it is more likely the meatballs will stick together but they do easily break apart from one another so its really no big deal!
