
Classic Chili
Easy Delicious Chili with classic flavours and ingredients.
Equipment
- Slow Cooker
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 1 onion diced
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 Cup Mushrooms sliced
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 2½ tbsp Chili Powder
- 2 tbsp ground cumin
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- 1½ tsp salt or more to taste
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- 4 tbsp tomato paste
- 1½ Beef Broth
- 1 can Diced Tomatoes (1 can is 15 oz)
- 1 can Kidney Beans or Black Beans Drain and Rinsed. (1 can is 16 oz)
- 1 can tomato sauce (1 can is 8 oz)
- 1 cup frozen corn
Optional Toppings
- Green Onion
- Grated Cheddar Cheese
- Sour Cream
- Fresh Diced Tomatoes
- Home Toasted Tortilla Chips
Instructions
- Brown the Meat
- Add in the oil, onion mushroom and garlic.
- Add in the Spices (Chili Powder, Ground Cumin, Sugar, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Cayenne Powder, Salt and Pepper)
- Add In Tomato Paste, Tomato Sauce, Beef Broth, Tomatoes, Beans and Corn.
- Transfer to a slow cooker and cook for 6 Hours on Low.
