Need an easy, tasty side dish? Roasted Ranch Potatoes are perfect every time. With just three ingredients and a few minutes of prep, this is a great recipe to have in your back pocket for any occasion. These potatoes are crispy, flavourful and addicting.

    Roasted Ranch Potatoes

    Ingredients

3 Pounds Potatoes - I use russet but red potatoes and baby potatoes are also great for roasting. If you are using red or baby there is no need to peel the potatoes or rinse them.

1 Packet Ranch Seasoning - I use hidden valley ranch, but there are other brands as well.

Canola Oil - Need an oil of some sort to help crisp these up. Canola is my favourite because its heart-healthy, has a high smoke point and is tasteless

Salt - Completely a personal preference to add salt at the end. The Ranch Seasoning pack has sodium in it so it may already be salty enough for you! Taste and see at the end of cooking.

How to Make Roasted Potatoes with Ranch Seasoning

    1. Peel and Dice Potatoes - Peeling is Optional, If you are using russet potatoes its best to rinse them off since they are high in starch.
    2. If you rinsed the potatoes, dry them off.
    3. Toss in oil and ranch seasoning.
    4. Place on Baking Sheet and Roast in a 450 Degree Fahrenheit oven for 35 minutes or until cooked. When they are done they will be fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. If you have a convection oven or use a pellet grill, be sure to put the potatoes on a sheet that allows the air to circulate around the potatoes. If you are using a BBQ or Conventional oven you will want to manually flip the potatoes over halfway through cooking.
    5. Taste the potatoes when they are done cooking, add additional salt if necessary.

    2 Tablespoons = 1 Packet

    • ⅓ Cup Dry Milk or Buttermilk Powder
    • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
    • 1 Tablespoon Onion Powder
    • 2 Teaspoons Dried Parsley
    • 1.5 Teaspoons Dried Dill
    • 1 Teaspoon Dried Chives
    • 1 Teaspoon Salt
    • .5 Teaspoon Sugar
    • .5 Teaspoon Dried Terragon
    • .25 Teaspoon Black Pepper
    • .25 Teaspoon Mustard Powder

    Frequently Asked Questions

How much Ranch Seasoning should I use?

If you have bulk ranch Seasoning 1 packet is equal to 1 ounce or 40 grams or 2 Tablespoons.

Can I make these in the Slow Cooker?

Yes, you can - but they won't be crispy. There also isn't much liquid in these so you would want to add ¼ cup of chicken or vegetable stock to the crockpot to prevent sticking and burning. Cook on high for at least 3 hours.
